Another shout out to more news coverage of the 2016 Design House. NBC 29 has a bit longer video clip, explaining the goals for the Design House, as well as a plea for volunteers. It takes a lot of people to make this run smoothly and support us designers. We appreciate all of those who have volunteered, and if you haven’t yet, there’s still time! Plus, you’ll get a free look at all the lovely rooms featuring so many varied designs.
This video includes my room, the dining room, but also shows some of the other beautiful designs of my colleagues. Please take a look and and consider volunteering for such a worthy cause.
A great big thank you to CBS 19 for helping promote the 2016 Design House fundraiser for the non-profit Shelter for Help in Emergency. Unfortunately, the clip is a bit short, so you won’t have a chance to see all the beautiful rooms my talented colleagues have designed. I think they choose mine, the dining room, to film just because of those delicious cupcakes! Alas, they are fake…but were they real, I might have eaten them already! All of us at the Design House greatly appreciate the news coverage for this valuable charity organization.
As we quickly approach the big event for 2016, here’s a look back at last year’s design. I can’t wait to unveil this year’s creation; the joy of designing a different room every year is that I can have so much fun changing up styles.
Cville magazine has featured the backstory of my inspiration for my children’s bedroom for the Shelter for Help in Emergency’s Design House 2015.
